for a challenge and want to build something great.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Purpose of the role</strong>:&nbsp;Overall responsibility of the entire business (group) inventory within&nbsp;the DC.</p> <p><strong>This position reports to the DC Operations Manager</strong></p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities can include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and ensure that Inventory is well organized and&nbsp;controlled to sufficiently support production and the&nbsp;goals of the business</li> <li>Implement improvement processes and maintain&nbsp;policies and procedures and systems to minimize costs&nbsp;and maximize working capital</li> <li>Ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy and safe for&nbsp;staff to work in (housekeeping)</li> <li>Manage and implement the Company Policies &amp; Procedures within the Inventory department and ensure&nbsp;that they is strictly adhered to</li> <li>Manage stock takes, cycle counts, replenishments</li> <li>Ensure stock accuracy and pickable locations</li> <li>Conduct Pick Fail investigations</li> <li>Supervise stock movements</li> <li>Drive process improvement through data driven&nbsp;decisions</li> <li>Manage and implement inventory management&nbsp;strategies</li> <li>Optimize the customer experience by ensuring the right&nbsp;product quantities, in the right places, at the right time</li> <li>Perform audits of inventory management-related tools&nbsp;and systems ensuring settings are correct and&nbsp;optimized</li> <li>Automate whenever possible</li> <li>Take ownership of all aspects of inventory reporting for the company: develop the inventory planning model,<br>plan product transitions and inventory exposure</li> <li>Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the&nbsp;inventory processes are controlled</li> <li>Effective leadership and direction for the operations&nbsp;team through involvement and communication to deliver&nbsp;on the relevant key business drivers Measure and&nbsp;manage staff through formal staff appraisals,&nbsp;development, coaching and disciplinary procedures</li> <li>Conform to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)&nbsp;standards and legislation as set out by the business and&nbsp;the OHS Act</li> <li>Monitor, maintain and manage all inventory related&nbsp;reports</li> <li>Be responsible for all projects stock moves</li> <li>Ensure that all inventory is effectively managed by</li> <li>identifying slow moving stock, dead stock, expired dates&nbsp;and other critical factors</li> <li>Continuously monitor the stock density by location and&nbsp;devise appropriate action plans to reduce impact on&nbsp;production</li> <li>Develop appropriate inventory solutions for the variety of&nbsp;product types stored</li> <li>Strategically align with risk management and highlight&nbsp;high risk areas and potential theft hot spots</li> <li>Expected to manage the Inventory holding and&nbsp;Integrity of the DC</li> <li>Collaborate with HOD&amp;#39;s in order to streamline and achieve Inventory and DC KPI's</li> <li>Align Inventory policies with Finance</li> <li>Assist in maintaining and managing the compliance&nbsp;as set out by the various regulatory boards</li> <li>Liaise with Head Office to drive and execute Group&nbsp;strategies related to Inventory and compliance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant Inventory qualification (Degree or Diploma)</li> <li>5 to 7 years previous experience in inventory&nbsp;management including minimum 3 years at&nbsp;management level</li> <li>Preferably in the Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing&nbsp;and Distribution environment</li> <li>Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Access and&nbsp;PowerPoint) ,WMS systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Attributes required :</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent and proven data extraction and analytical&nbsp;ability and applying this data to drive inventory&nbsp;management decisions</li> <li>Organized and detailed oriented with proven experience&nbsp;of managing inventory</li> <li>A Self- starter who is tenacious at identifying and&nbsp;resolving challenges</li> <li>Passionate about customer service within the supply&nbsp;chain environment</li> <li>Experience creating and setting annual operating plans&nbsp;and presenting to Senior DC Management</li> <li>Have a detailed understanding of inventory control /&nbsp;warehouse management systems (including reverse&nbsp;logistics)</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills</li> <li>Possess excellent verbal and written communication&nbsp;skills for a demanding and customer focused working&nbsp;environment</li> <li>Possess excellent personal organization and business&nbsp;administration skills in accordance with modern best&nbsp;practice methods</li> <li>Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently &amp;&nbsp;effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales&nbsp;and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and&nbsp;quality</li> <li>Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt</li> <li>Good team player, hard worker, willing to be flexible with&nbsp;a positive attitude</li> <li>Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team</li> <li>Must be willing to work overtime as and when required</li> <li>This
