We offer a market related, Total Remuneration Package which allows full flexibility according to your needs, a great work environment and a promise that you won’t be bored as long as you are prepared for a challenge and want to build something great.</p> <p><strong>Purpose of the job:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Due to the increase of volumes, we requested a Jnr Shift&nbsp;Manager to assist us to run an additional shift as we have gone&nbsp;into a 3 shift structure. The other reason for this additional role&nbsp;was so that the current two Shift Managers work their normal 8&nbsp;hour week and also run their own two shifts instead of working&nbsp;the 6 day weeks and additional hours per day they have been&nbsp;running. The Jnr Shift Manager will also be responsible to run a&nbsp;full shift on his own. He will have Champions reporting into him&nbsp;who will assist him to ensure we achieve our business targets&nbsp;This job will assist us in achieving our targets because all three&nbsp;shifts will now have their own shift managers to run the shifts</p> <p><strong>This position reports to the : Shift&nbsp;</strong><strong>Manager</strong></p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;The Jnr Shift Manager will also be responsible to run a full shift on his own.</li> <li>&nbsp;He will have Champions reporting into him who will assist him to ensure we achieve the following.</li> <li>&nbsp;Outbound KPI’s – Customer orders to be shipped by 5pm daily.</li> <li>&nbsp;Adhere to and enforce SLA compliance</li> <li>&nbsp;Picking and Packing Productivity – Ensure that we meet company targets.</li> <li>&nbsp;Cost control – manage labour / heads on shift vs volumes and hours.</li> <li>&nbsp;Packing costs – manage usage on the floor.</li> <li>&nbsp;Housekeeping – manage the team to ensure they keep areas within standards.</li> <li>&nbsp;Goals – ensure that each individual has a clear understanding of their goals</li> <li>&nbsp;Review internal processes and continue to iterate and innovate to improve department continuously</li> <li>&nbsp;Apply our company values into daily tasks</li> <li>&nbsp;Operating Targets achieved, budget controlled and phased accordingly</li> <li>&nbsp;Safety social systems entrenched</li> <li>&nbsp;Improved order processing LEAD time</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualification &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Grade 12 – National Senior Certificate</li> <li>Supply Chain or Logistics higher certificate is preferred</li> <li>3-5 years Supervisory experience in logistics or distribution environment</li> <li>People management experience, good oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Decision making and problem solving ability</li> <li>Ability to manage change within a logistics operation • Will commit and achieve targets and project timelines. • Willing to work shifts, including weekends if necessary, in an operational 7/365 environment •</li> <li>Self-starter with high energy levels a must • Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Attributes Required</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Experts at DOING, they can not only design but also execute.</li> <li>Analytical, able to use data to make decisions. Letting data decide but not consume.</li> <li>Technical knowledge; •</li> <li>Competitive. Although innovation is important, GREAT requires a lot of work.
